An
Angel’s Pedigree
He looks down upon us; As we journey in vain
Each life in a hurry ; Amidst turmoil and pain
I’ll send them an Angel ; To watch them and help
To lead them and guide them; as they worry
about self
An Angel to love them; yet silent and still
An Angel to watch them; their lives he will
fill.
He sent such an Angel; our world became crowded.
But this Angel’s mission was quietly shrouded
Our angel connected with each passer by;
And voiced his approval; or warned us to spy.
Each day he would give us; his look of deceit;
He knew how to lead us; away from defeat.
His short time was taken; as the One called him
back
We grieve for his presence; but he had a pact.
His journey was finished; in quiet mellow tones
He rejoined his Maker; he’s finally home.
Always the servant; he wondered aloud.
How can I help them from up in the clouds?
The One who had sent him; had called him away.
I’ll send them another; to lead and to play.
Your job is completed; you’ve done more than
your part
You lifted their spirits; and mended their
heart.
Now rest in My Castle; you need not delay;
I have another I’ll send down their way.
An Angel to warm them; and guard them from harm
An Angel to watch them; disguising his charm.
This Angel is different than you had to be.
He comes with new visions; a new pedigree.
His mission is simple; to love them from start;
Just open their eyes and fill up their heart.
Rest weary traveler; beside my great Throne;
You’ve earned a place with Me; in your Master’s
Home.
